Someone asked in the comments if the Shaggy Ponies are still in the field opposite us. The answer is yes, but sadly the black one who featured in this journal a couple of years ago, especially after she had her baby, has moved homes. A charming white vanner has replaced her, as seen below, and is currently almost as much mud as pony given the soggy conditions.

What is your take on organ donation?
It saves lives. If my organs are still in a functional state after I die and they might be useful to someone who’s still alive, take as many of them as you can and give them to those people. I won’t be needing them. As for other people, I’d like to think that those healthy folk who don’t have religious beliefs forbidding it would do the same, but it’s their choice.

I do love vanners given my Romani ancestry! :o)

All you now need is a colourful vardo to go with him/her.

Shaggy ponies! I had forgotten about them, so thank you for the picture of the new resident.

Organ donation is something I've selected, although I admit I selfishly want to wear the things out with health and long life enough that they're not suited for someone else. But in case of tragedy, I'd rather my remains help someone else.

That tells us all what kind of year it's been, that something intrinsically cute like the shaggy ponies just dropped off the radar.

An excellently muddy pony!

Where organ donation is concerned, I am so glad the law got changed to it being opt out. Now I just want them to fix the gap whereby even if I am fervently pro my organs being donated (which I am), my next of kin can still refuse (I've told them I'll haunt them if they do). I mean I'm hoping to wear mine out over a long life, but should something happen and they're usable, I want them to be used!

Perhaps pony has been told about mud spas and such things and has decided they can make this happen in the comfort of their own field.
